Our Mission |
Founded in 2007 by Dr. Besendorfer and his wife Theresa, "The Hercules Animal Fund", is a non-profit, completely funded by donations. 100% of the procedes go to taking care of an animal, whose owners can't afford the treatment. There are no salaries to officers as all humans involved are volunteers. This charity still remains a small one and decisions have to made as to where to best spend the donations. But we remain proud of the pets we have saved. Hercules, the dog that inspired the cause, was a neglected animal, who was injured, and the owner couldn't affordthe longterm the care he needed. So, being a veterinarian, Dr. Besendorfer was able to treated him and then he adopted him. As a result, he lived an incredible and long life. Realizing there was no safety net for pet owners not so fortunate, The Hercules Animal Fund was born. The donations, doled out on a case by case basis, help families in need pay for the veterinary expences for their animals. Every day, veterinarians see patients that could be fixed good as new, but the expense of the surgery and treatment proves too much of a hardship for the humans, and too often, the animals suffer as a result. We want to change that. Your donations and our small staff of volunteers make this work possible. Donations can be made at Zions Bank under The Hercules Animal Fund, by Venmo or Paypal. (see the scan codes to the right). Thank you so much for your support. Even a small donation can make a big difference. |
